The above work I have chosen to submit outlines the theme of work that I am currently involved in and that I find interesting.
The human body is my main interest. How it can be manipulated appeals to me greatly as it is always a topic that is up for debate in the media. Different representations of the body change the empathy of the work and how it would be perceived by the critics and other viewers.
I enjoy using a range of materials and objects which I find inspirational. Changing these items into something else has always fascinated me- how you can construct something new from something old.

I am currently studying at North Notts College in Worksop which I am finding hugely enjoyable and I can't wait to develop my skills further and progress in this field.
A Fine Art course will change my life greatly as I feel very passionate about this subject and lifestyle.
Manchester is a great area for culture and arts, and I would love to be closer to the action. Visits to galleries and museums would be made more possible and frequent if I was to study here. This in turn would help me with my research into artists and also with my own work by giving me stimulation.
Personally, I am quite a laid back person and also enjoy the commitment within a project, and the sense of delight upon completion. I look forward to learning new and exciting techniques and finding out how to use them within my work.
